BORN SURVIVOR: BEAR GRYLLS

Bear

Take the juicy meat from one zebra carcass, squeeze out the water from a dollop of steaming fresh elephant dung, take the blood from a turtle and mix the lot together with one crazy Bear. What you've got is one of Discovery Channel's most compelling series.

Yes, adventurist Bear Grylls returns to Discovery with a whole new set of survival challenges and edible delights this August. From the alligator infested swamps of the Everglades to the mighty Amazon jungle in Ecuador, Bear is dropped into the harshest places on Earth with just the clothes on his back, a waterbottle, a flint and a knife. He must rely on his SAS training and specialist survival techniques to get out alive. With his own urine to drink, deer to skin for shelter and delicacies including a sheep's eyeball and crucifix spiders to eat, will he manage it?
